Exodus 3:1-15
God appeared to Moses in a burning bush, suggesting the glory of God. Just as the burning bush was not consumed, so should we openly be burning in our desire to magnify God. The word holy appears for the first time in the Scripture when God tells Moses to remove his sandals because he is standing on holy ground. And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14
Moses was hesitant when the Lord told him to go to Pharaoh. We are often hesitant to serve God in the way we know He wants us to serve. Perhaps it is an inconvenience for us, and we would have to alter our self-serving plans. Or, perhaps, we are self-conscious about being ‘different’ from our friends when we concentrate on living a rightful life. God is always present and ready to help us live according to His purpose for us. Our trust in Him grows as we follow His ever-burning bush.
What prevents us from being burned by serving God?
